Campaigns
Put a banner and link in everyone's signature (or a segment) for a set time, and track clicks.
Campaigns turn every email your company sends into a promotion: a webinar, a product launch, a hiring push, an event.
Before your first campaign
Your template needs a campaign slot: in the studio add a Banner block and turn on Use active campaign when running (or start from the Marketing banner design in Signatures → New signature → More designs). When no campaign is running, the banner's own image is shown, or nothing if it has none.
Create and launch
- Open Campaigns (owners, admins and marketing).
- Fill in a name, the link, and upload a banner image (about 500 × 100 px, under 2 MB).
- Choose who sees it: everyone, or specific departments, groups or email domains.
- Optionally set a start and end (UTC). UTM parameters are added to the link automatically (
utm_source=email_signature,utm_medium=email, plus your own). - Save draft, then Launch. With no start date (or a past one) it goes live immediately; otherwise it's scheduled and starts on time.
When a campaign starts or ends, affected signatures are re-rendered and redeployed within about 15 minutes. End now stops it immediately and signatures switch back.
If several campaigns target the same person, the one that started most recently wins.
A/B test two banners
Open A/B test (optional) when you create a campaign and add a Variant B banner, plus a different link if you want one (otherwise B uses the same link). About half your senders get each banner. Who gets which is fixed per person, so someone's signature doesn't switch back and forth. Clicks are counted per variant: the campaign card shows both banners and A/B test: clicks per variant, with the variant ahead marked "leading". The links get utm_content=variant_a or variant_b, so your web analytics can tell them apart too, unless your link already sets utm_content.
Tracking
Each banner links through a tracked address that records the click and which employee's email it came from, then forwards to your link. Each campaign is a card under Your campaigns with its banner, status (Draft, Scheduled, Active or Ended), start and end dates, who sees it, total clicks, a Clicks per day chart once it has clicks (the latest 90 days of its run, in UTC, plus later clicks from emails sent while it ran, for up to 90 days after it ends; hover a day for its count) and the top departments driving them; Export clicks (CSV) gives every click with campaign, employee, variant (a or b) and time.
We don't track email opens (no tracking pixels), so click-through rates aren't shown. Mail security scanners sometimes "click" links, so treat very small numbers with care.
