How pro-ration works
A seat-day is the monthly price divided by the days in the month
The day someone is activated is billed and the day they leave is not, so a same day add and remove bills one day. Overlapping periods for one person count once. Examples for April, a 30 day month:
| Situation | Days | Charge |
|---|---|---|
| Here all month | 30 | $3.00 |
| Hired on April 11 | 20 | $2.00 |
| Left on April 21 | 20 | $2.00 |
| Hired April 5, left April 15 | 10 | $1.00 |
| Hired and removed the same day | 1 | $0.10 |

FAQ
Questions teams ask before switching
Anything else? The help center covers setup step by step, and the Help assistant in the corner answers in seconds.
Getting started
Do I need a demo or a sales call to start?
No. You sign up with your work email, connect your directory and design your signature yourself, in about ten minutes. New workspaces start with a free trial, 14 days as standard, with everything included, and no card is needed to start. If a larger team wants custom terms, the Help assistant can put you in touch with sales.
Which directories can I connect?
Google Workspace, Microsoft Entra ID (Microsoft 365), and any identity provider that speaks SCIM 2.0, including Okta, OneLogin and JumpCloud. Setup takes about five minutes and needs an admin of that directory once.
How fast does a new hire get their signature?
With Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 we sync every 15 minutes, so a new hire has their signature within 15 minutes of being added to the directory. With SCIM from Okta or another identity provider, changes arrive the moment your provider sends them.
What happens when someone's job title or department changes?
The change arrives with the next sync, within 15 minutes for Google Workspace and Microsoft 365, or right away over SCIM. Their signature is rendered again, and if the new title or department matches a different assignment rule, they move to that template automatically. Only signatures that actually changed are redeployed, and details an employee or admin added by hand are kept.
Signatures in Gmail and Outlook
Does it work with Gmail and Outlook?
Yes. For Gmail we write the signature with the Gmail API, so it shows on every message sent from Gmail on the web. The Gmail mobile apps keep their own plain text signature, which each person sets once. For Outlook our add-in inserts the current signature on every new message, and can use a lighter version for replies and forwards.
Does it work in the Outlook desktop and mobile apps?
A Microsoft 365 admin deploys our Outlook add-in once, and it adds each person's current signature in Outlook on the web, in the new Outlook for Windows and Mac, and in classic Outlook for Windows on a current Microsoft 365 build, including the lighter version on replies and forwards. Classic Outlook for Mac and the Outlook apps for iPhone and Android don't run the add-in. There, each person copies their signature from their own signature page, which has the install steps for each client.
Do signatures look right in dark mode?
Gmail and Outlook.com invert the whole email in dark mode, signature included, so it stays readable. Apple Mail and the new Outlook keep your signature's colors on a dark background, which can hide dark text and logos. The studio has a dark preview, a Light background in dark mode option that puts the signature on its own white panel, and a check that flags text colors that are hard to read.
Can signatures differ by office, department or region?
Yes. Assignment rules give a department, job title, location, org unit, email domain or custom attribute its own template, and Microsoft 365 groups work too. Inside one template, a block such as a legal disclaimer can show only to people in a given location, so each region gets its own wording. Admins can lock those blocks so marketing editors can't change them.
Can we run a banner campaign for one team and schedule it?
Yes. A campaign puts a banner and link into everyone's signature, or only for chosen departments or email domains (and Microsoft 365 groups, since group membership comes from Entra ID), with optional start and end dates, and signatures switch back by themselves when it ends. You can A/B test two banners, clicks are counted per variant and per department, and UTM tags are added to the link. We count clicks, not opens: there are no tracking pixels.
Billing and plans
What exactly am I billed for?
$3 per person per month, charged per day. The day someone is activated is billed and the day they leave is not, so a hire on the 19th of a 31 day month costs 13 days. You get one invoice on the 1st for the month before. Trial days are free.
Do I have to count or buy seats?
No. A seat opens when someone becomes active in your directory and closes when they are suspended or removed. There is nothing to buy in advance, and shared mailboxes get signatures without using a seat unless you choose to bill them.
How is this different from seat-licence tools like WiseStamp or Exclaimer?
You never buy a number of licences and keep it in step with your headcount. Your directory decides who has a seat: hires get one when they become active and leavers free theirs the day they go, so there are no seat packs, minimums or annual true-ups. You pay for the days each person was active, billed monthly in arrears, and templates follow directory fields such as department and office.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. If your trial ends without a payment method, the workspace moves to the Free plan: one person's signature stays deployed, free forever. Your directory keeps syncing and the studio, templates and rules keep working, while everyone else's signature is paused until you upgrade by adding a card.
Control, security and data
Can employees change their own signature?
If you allow it, employees can add their mobile number, pronouns, photo and booking link from a link we email them, without a password. Everything else comes from the directory and the template, and locked blocks such as legal disclaimers stay as you set them.
Can we approve template changes before they go live?
Yes. Turn on approval in Settings, and template changes from the Marketing role are saved as drafts that deploy nothing until an owner or admin publishes them. Admins get an email when a draft is submitted and can comment on it in the studio. Every published version is kept in the template's history and can be restored.
Can you read our email?
No. We read directory profile fields such as name, title, department, phones and photo with read only permissions, and we write signatures. We never read, store or send the content of your email.
What happens if we cancel, and can we export our data?
You can export employees, seat history, invoices, the audit log and a backup of your templates at any time from Settings. When you cancel, every seat closes that day and signatures are removed from mailboxes. Your data is kept for a short grace period (24 hours as standard) so you can change your mind, then permanently deleted, and you get a final invoice for the days used.
Try it on your own directory.
14 days free, every feature on, no card to start. Most teams are live the same afternoon.
